Yes. Indeed. I think of the Greek idea of catharsis. A purging of the emotions. The tears make us human. More empathy. And in a play, we may feel this more because we see and hear the humans. And we suspend the reality for those two hours. But books and films can do the same. Cheers! Happy crying!
