What in the Bloody Hell is Bloomsday?

On June 16, writing and drinking in honor of the Master Wordsmith — James Joyce

The author always drinks a porter or a stout when writing in a craft brew pub while he writes, once again, about James Joyce.

So what is Bloomsday?

James Joyce first made love to the woman who would eventually become his wife, Nora Barnacle on this day. His father said, laughing, “You’ll never get rid of her, then” (being a barnacle).
