What Do New Jersey Teachers and Support Staff Have to Say About Reopening Schools?

The Majority of Teachers Fear Death and Dying and Anxiety

From Sussex County to Cape May, and from Ocean County to Burlington, 2,242 told me. Here are 44,408 words of actual educators and support staff. I asked: What concerns do you have about reopening schools in New Jersey?

How could 10–12 kids eat lunch in a small classroom when indoor dining is still not allowed at all in my state, and is well below capacity in other states. Large restaurants are only allowed to have about the same number of people as well be in my small classroom.

Teachers will once again be left with very little time to prepare and be blamed for any shortcomings.

Sick day use if quarantined, specials schedule goes onto too many different classrooms a day

Things are backwards - we should ease in to school. Remote, hybrid, return.

The union is refusing to even address going back to school. Teachers are acting like they are more important than any other worker out there.

Safety of students and staff.
