n cubicle-lik…e most likely spending the entire summer prepping for the dreaded Specialized Schools test (SHSAT). There are summer camps that specialize in test prep, where 7th graders sit in cubicle-like settings and solve problems for at least 4 hours a day.

This sounds so Dystopian. Horrible. I know. I’m a teacher, and I know what my “high performance” students do, too. I’m like, why can’t you just have fun as a kid?
