These top ones I’ve tried many times, including Granta, Zoetrope, Glimmer Train, Harpers, The Atlantic, The Paris Review, Three Penny Press, etc, etc, And while I was successful a few times, after the year wait response, I still didn’t make anything. Now, the New Yorker, yeah. I still send stuff, but one needs someone on the inside. Who knows. But good piece! Seeing work in print and published as a book is gratifying even though it will not but a Wendy’s Frosty. Cheers!
