Thank you so much for this rich response. I'll check out your story. In 2016, we rented a place in Quebec with our daughters, and you're right. Very few who spoke English, especially outside the city where we were. Loved it, though. I was the one who had to speak French. My family just laughed at my stabs at the Lovely Language of Montaigne.
