One of the best poems on Medium I have read in awhile. Truly enjoyed it for many reasons. As a literary critic, I loved the refrain, the imagery, and words like glitter and glare and the irony of syntax and liberty and steepness... it's both insightful, but also aware of the cruelty of those around who place demands on you... like only throwing a single stone.
