Lovely essay. I plant all types of milkweed in my garden for the butterflies. It's sad to see the curiousity of children evaporate. It usually happens in 4th or 5th grade.... I like to blame schools, and competition for grades... as a teacher for 21 years, I have seen it. Not sure, why. Everyone, when very young, can sing and draw and play with anyone.
