It's satire. It's the last thing Ayn Rand would do - someone who escaped Soviet collectivism to be seduced (or appropriated) by American right-wing group thought. I think it makes the madness complete, but it's satire, and so ludicrous to show, I hope, that everyone will abandon one's belief to follow the Party/ Leader. So many have "slept" with the leader, too, regardless of gender, forgetting one's core Individualism.
