I know the Robert Fitzgerald translation well, although every translation is rather a lie. I also listened to both incredible works on Audible, and then listened to Great Course lectures by Prof. Elizabeth Vandiver. I did the same thing with the Aenid, too, with same prof. I have to check out the new translation. A new translation came out of Don Quixote by Edith Grossman, and it was amazing. My goal is to read the original in Spanish. My daughter just came back from school in his hometown and is now almost fully fluent in Spanish. Jeaous. BTW, I love Greek food and spirits. Ouzo. and mastiha (Greek: μαστίχα). Just turned on to it from my daughter's grad school friend from Athens. Cheers from a fellow Classics Scholar. lol.
