I do teach this work, and have students listen to the author on Audible. Then I have them write a letter to the author. The ones that are racist, I do not send, just to protect the student, in some weird way. I'm writing an essay about my experiences with the book, and other works, even classic like Streetcar and Raisin in the Sun, which have brought about parent and student complaints. Cheers, man!
