I agree. Wilde is one of my favs, and I'm a huge fan, having seen most of his plays, and I have taught and read Dorian Gray many times. I also went to his gravesite in Paris as a pilgrimage. I have two essays on Medium on Dorian: one about the Preface that he added after the controversy of the first edition, and another essay comparing the novella with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
