I agree and disagree with this. Aristotle says that writing well is coachable and learnable, and as teacher of rhetoric, I agree. But as far as being an artist, Kurt Vonnegut says God has given you the gift or not. I have excellent writers who are not necessarily artistic writers. I don't know.
