Great piece, Kallol. My studies in grad school largely focused on Post Colonial Critical Theory, and so I studied Indian, African writers under the yoke of British Colonialism. As a side note, the town where I teach and grew up has the largest percentage of an Indian population in New Jersey, outside of Newark, NJ. So I have been invited to traditional Indian dances, and customs, and my grad professor was Dr. Chauhan, of the South Asian Review, and nothing was better than dinner at his house. Cheers!
