Good points. I have an African student who wrote and published a children's book when she was young. Her African father drew the pictures. They were all "white," but the dad drew the. This was years ago. She brought in the book for her literary history essay, and she told the class she didn't know books and stories had people with her skin color or background. I wanted to cry. She is an amazing woman. I generally like to use my own photos or ones I create. But you have great points about bias, media, etc. Like college brochures that photoshop "diversity" on its cover, etc, when the college is 99% white. Sorry for long response.
